BABY LULLABY MUSIC is happy to introduce you to this soothing, sleep-inducing collection of lullabies and gentle classics for all ages. Actual lullaby music for your baby or young child is not that easy to find, if the idea is to help put the little ones to sleep, or at least to relax and rest for a time. Typically, lullaby albums are made more for the parents - cutesy, pretty... but not conducive to sleep for the child. This album is different, as you'll hear as you listen to the gentle tones and quiet arrangements.

Brahm's Lullaby Lyrics: Lullaby, and good night With pink roses bedight With lilies o'erspread Is my baby's sweet head Lay you down now and rest May your slumber be blessed Lay you down now and rest May thy slumber be blessed Lullaby, and good night You're your mother's delight Shining angels beside My darling abide Soft and warm is your bed Close your eyes, rest your head Soft and warm is your bed Close your eyes, rest your head

All Through The Night Lyrics: Sleep my child and peace attend thee All through the night Guardian angels God will send thee All through the night Soft the drowsy hours are creeping Hill and vale in slumber sleeping Love alone it's watch is keeping All through the night from Wikipedia, there is an alternate second verse: Angels watching ever round thee All through the night In thy slumbers close surround thee All through the night They will of all fears disarm thee No forebodings should alarm thee They will let no peril harm thee All through the night The original Welsh lyric was composed by John Ceiriog Hughes, and has been translated into dozens of languages, with so many variations and adaptations it would take a music linguist a lifetime to sort them all out...but they all say "relax... breathe...exhale.... let go of this day, and let your pleasant slumber prepare you for the day to come."

Scarborough Fair Lyrics: Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Remember me to one who lives there He once was a true love of mine Tell him to make me a cambric shirt Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Without no seams nor needle work Then he'll be a true love of mine Have him wash it in yonder dry well Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Where ne'er a drop of water e'er fell And then he'll be a true love of mine Tell him to find me an acre of land Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Between salt water and the sea strands Then he'll be a true love of mine Tell him to reap it with a sickle of leather Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme And gather it all in a bunch of heather Then he'll be a true love of mine Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Remember me to one who lives there He once was a true love of mine

Brahms Lullaby Lyrics: Lullaby and goodnight, with roses bedight With lilies o'er spread is baby's wee bed Lay thee down now and rest, may thy slumber be blessed Lay thee down now and rest, may thy slumber be blessed Lullaby and goodnight, thy mother's delight Bright angels beside my darling abide They will guard thee at rest, thou shalt wake on my breast They will guard thee at rest, thou shalt wake on my breast Aaron Neville and others have used these words: Lullaby, and good night In the sky stars are bright Close your eyes, start to yawn Pleasant dreams until the dawn Close your eyes now and rest Lay your head on my breast Go to sleep now and rest May your slumber be blessed Here is a paraphrase of the original German lyric: Good evening, good night With roses adorned With carnations you are covered Slip under your covers Tomorrow morning if God wishes it so you shall once again wake Good evening, good night By angels you are watched Who show you in your dream the Christ child′s tree Sleep now peacefully and sweetly you will see paradise in your dream

Rockabye Baby Lullaby has a couple sets of commonly heard lyrics: the most common is the one that has the cradle making a journey from the tree to the ground, and may have been connected with political intrigue surrounding William of Orange and others in the English revolution of 1688 in which King James II was deposed. Alternately, it has been propounded that the song had its roots in a large English family of that time that lived in a tree and hollowed out a large bough for the baby to sleep in. At any rate, the alternate lyric has the child safe and sound, which is just fine with us, and sings thusly, according to Wikipedia and other sources: Rock-a-bye, baby, thy cradle is green Father's a nobleman, mother's a queen And Betty's a lady and wears a gold ring And Johnny's a drummer and drums for the king The original words that most of us remember: Rockabye Baby in the treetops When the wind blows The cradle will rock When the bough breaks The cradle will fall Down will come baby Cradle and all.
