Traumerei has no lyrics, to my knowledge. The melody spans a large range, slightly more than our national anthem, so it's unlikely to become a hit as a lullaby even if someone did put words to Schumann's music. Then again, who am I to say you can't sing the national anthem to your child as a lullaby?

Cradle Song has many variations on the lyric. "I Will Be Here" was a hit for Steven Curtis Chapman on the contemporary Christian music charts, and has been performed countless times during wedding ceremonies. Longer Than (properly titled "Longer") by Dan Fogelberg is an entrancing love song also heard often in a romantic context such as a wedding prelude. Storybook Love may not be familiar because of the title, but perhaps you will recognize it as a familiar piece, because you've heard it in the cult classic movie "The Princess Bride."
